Rhinoplasty Case Details

case 276

This gentleman disliked his large nose. He felt it was the only thing people saw. Furthermore, the degree of tip droop bothered him. A severed deviation in his septum created significant breathing complications.

Fortunately at surgery, his anatomy was such that Dr. Oakley Smith was able to drop the tip cartilages back 8 millimeters. This degree of overall reduction in size is a lot and usually can’t be achieved because of risk to over weakening the nose, creating further breathing issues and loss of shape due to the skin no longer capable of rewrapping around the greatly reduced nasal framework.

Before and after photos belonging to Dr. Oakley Smith, a well-known Facial Plastic surgeon based in Toronto.
