Open Rhinoplasty | Case 287
The most important change in this woman’s nose was her columella. This is the fleshy piece between the nostrils just under the nose. Before her surgery her columella was too visible and hung to far below her nose. For an aesthetically pleasing nose the amount of columella show on profile view should be between 2 to 4 mm. Improving this is relatively simple surgery. In addition her nose was made overall smaller and the small nasal hump was filed down to a gentle soft curve.
