Open Rhinoplasty | Case 303
This lovely young girl wanted several things changed in her nose. The overall size smaller, her bump removed, her bridge narrowed at the cheeks, her tip rotated, her columella symmetric and her nostril length shortened. Some of what she was requesting was easier and therefore more likely to be successful while others had a very low probability of improvement. At her consultation all this was explained to her. Although she was disappointed she was willing to proceed. As can be seen in her after photos, much of what she desired was created. Surgery very seldom creates perfection and patients must be okay will overall improvement and accept that all their desires cannot be obtained. If the improvement is enough to make them happy, then in the great majority of times the minor imperfections either remaining or created are of little significance to cause them to be dissatisfied with their outcome.
