Rhinoplasty – Case 374
Cosmetic surgery can be defined as improving a part of our human body which appears normal. Our young woman’s nose would be considered within the normal range by many people. There’s not much which can be improved. Her nasal tip is wider than optimal, there’s a minor bump and the size of her nose is okay. If you really stared hard, you might argue her nostrils are slightly exposed.
The surgery here could be described as a finesse rhinoplasty. Contrary to common belief, this type of nose job is often more difficult than noses which are more extreme. This is due to the margin of error being more limited.
There has been a good improvement with her tip width, removal of her nasal bump, less nostril show and a reduction of the size of her nose.
These before and after photos show a typical result by the rhinoplasty surgeon Dr Oakley Smith from Toronto.
